Disappointed over closed thread

I know, I suck.

I don't know, I was just reading here that Jan made a statement to try and help and then people started insulting her. I just wanted to hear what she had to say. Did I miss anything important? If not, that's cool.
 
Holy sh*t! I wish I would have gotten here sooner! You mean a product's shipping has been delayed! Unreal! What is this? The 20th century or something! That's it. I'm going back to super-8.
 
I was cutting in Vegas 6 - my favorite app! - all day. What'd I miss?

Jarred says he was personally insulting Jan which was untrue, this was his post, yes it was heated but not personally insulting to anyone specific - maybe the following posts made it sound like he was saying something more than he did, this was his post on a thread he started to push Panasonic towards making a statement about the rumours he was reading here which were stating that the 29 Dec shipment had not been met with no response from Panasonic about those rumours and dealers a week after 29th Dec still not being able to let their prepaid customers first in line - know anything about whether or not the shipments were in progress. I understand the frustrations of Barras posts and realistically they were not in my opinion personally insulting to anyone although they started a fire of angry responses, so this was his only post that was deemed personally insulting, judge for yourselves before it may be deleted and I am banned... hopefully though banning is over for today:

Hello Panasonic people who visit this site daily.
You are well aware of the many posts by prepaid customers who were told cameras would ship 29th - the select few who secured main dealer preOrder cameras - who are now still waiting for any news about what did or didn't ship to date.
This is now very unprofessional and a straight answer is well overdue! for those considering cancelling orders which were paid for in advance at MSRP's based on getting cameras now....... if they don't come to meet our work demands then some of us may as well cancel and put our orders in later with cheaper retailers.
This is very unprofessional of Panasonic to stay completely silent about something which was scheduled and guaranteed to a select number of preOrdered prePaid customers - actually it's a disgrace

I've been enjoying this forum site for some time and I appreciate Jarred's work of course, he does have tough decisions to make sometimes for the good of the forum as a whole..... so sometimes frustrations will have to take a back seat here for the good of what comes here - so Jarred is doing his job.
 
I missed what Jan said as well, but I can see that there was a delay in shipping cameras. I have an order in with EVS, and I expected they would get a lot of cameras. It doesn't bother me that there is a delay. I'd rather have the camera in top form rather than have it as early as possible (although I wasn't saying that a couple months ago).

I still have my second DVX and use it every week. I hope to get one in February.

I do hope that Jan and others from Panny stick around here. I've really learned a lot. Jan is also great in person taking the time to answer everyone's questions.

Jarred, with all due respect regarding Malcolm, why are you not moving this thread to Cafe ala DVX sub-forum? Latest HVX200 News it doesn't seem the suitable idea...

BTW, please :), don't think banning Haakon, he is one of the most important dvxuser.com values! He is in the top of my list! :thumbsup:
