Disable the square white AF box in the frame?

Can someone please direct me to the menu setting which disables the white AF box in the frame so the LCD is clear? The Info button gets rid of everything but the white box until Record is engaged and it only can be moved around the frame - I can't find the Disable control in the menu.

I'm hoping this is possible because I'm very interested in the Syndicate LIve View HDMI solution and without the AF box in the frame you can record externally without the red dot by not rolling the camera.

Well...that's the problem...I don't believe it's possible to remove it. Waiting on a hack.
