Dirty Heads? Please help

I have a problem. When I go to VCR mode on my DVX100B and play back a tape the footage appears all glitchy. When I play back the same tapes in another camera they play back fine. I assumed my heads were dirty since I stupidly changed a tape in a dusty barn the last time I shot with my DVX so I ran a head cleaner through the camera for 5 seconds. It looked like I had fixed the problem but when I went to shoot with the camera 2 hours later I tried playing back some footage again before I shot anything and the camera was glitching out again. My camera was bought new in August and there is about 25 hours of recording time on it.

What should I do? Can any one help me out?

try a new tape, but of the same brand. Dude I bought mine in august too, and I got around 30 hours on mine too. ahahah. where did you order it from?

Wow! That seems odd. I have 175 hours on my heads and have not needed to clean the heads, yet. Of course, for the last 8 months I have been recording tapeless...but still...

Wow thanks for all the responses. Is it bad to use a tape head cleaner?

renegadewill I ordered my camera from buydig.com

Watching your footage on the camera wears down the heads so try not to watch your stuf on the dvx, its a good thing to use a tape cleaner around every 50 hours unless the little red x pops up then you should clean right away...also try not to leave the tape in the camera when you put it away...
