We have:

1. 8Gb
2. 3 4Gb

cards. And will be shooting a DIII playoff game for both teams as a commemorative DVD.

I'm thinking getting some college B-roll footage before Saturday's game, and then shooting the 8Gb card first have to capacity.

Switching to a four Gb card till full, then another 4 Gb card till full.

Offloading via cam the 8Gb to a MacBook at half time, and then use the 8 Gb for second half with remaining 4 Gb in reserve

Of course, 720/24pn.

Good idea?

Suggestions?

It might be easier to just use the 4GB cards. You'll have to rotate them more often, but you should always be able to offload them faster than you can fill them.

One other thing: create yourself two identical scene files, one set to a frame rate of DEFAULT or 24, and the second one set to a frame rate of 60. You can then switch frame rates using the scene file dial. You can't change the frame rate in the middle of a recording, you'll still have to stop for that, but it's great for easily setting up a slow-mo shot.
