That person who started that thread is the REAL fraud here. I have been in email contact with digital dan on an unrelated matter and he provided the USPS delivery confirmation # (express mail) showing a SIGNATURE SIGNED BY THE THREAD POSTER on Sept 19, 2006 @ 11:57 am to show me he is on the up and up.

Mind you I am no friend of DD's but I want to see justice served where it is deserved. And wmiller@csulb.edu is one guy you should ALL be scared of. He got paid and STILL claims he didn't. Unbelievable Hog Sh*t.......

Remember, to get a signature when sending ANYTHING. Delivery confirmation means nothing. Will not hold up in court anyway. You must have someone SIGN when accepting any package.
 
im guessing lifewriter is digital dan, digital dan is gone in september lifewriter arrives in september and is the only one that has been defending him... i could be wrong, but three other dvxuser members claim they were ripped off by digitaldan...
 
If I would the insure the camera from being lost digitaldan would probably pay me for the cam. I made a mistake and he took advantage of it. This is how I feel. I was stupid and cheap by not paying extra 70 bucks for the insurance. I sold many things online and everything was always fine. This time it was different. Look at heatware under mumin I have couple of sales . Well I guess it is another warning for people who sell online. As I said beffore camera is not a hand or leg you know , but I hope that guilty one will pay for all of this.

Well, I purchased a tripod from Digital Dan several weeks ago (O'Connor 50D). It apparently got misaddressed and returned or something, but he sent me a UPS tracking number a couple days ago and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow. I'll let you all know how it turns out.

When I was posting my last thing I was gonna say that I think lifewriter is Digital Dan heh . My gosh that guy should be ashamed . I wish he would send me my camera back.
 
Its a shame that he (DD) hasnt gone away, he is here, answering these threads, and reading them yet he gets to go scott free?

Thats disgusting. DD...look in the mirror....I'll bet the guy you see hasn't a true friend in the world.
 
So this a-hole is still running around? Is anyone taking legal action? If not, I might be able to be persuaded to make a little trip to FL and deliver a DVXuser ass whoopin. :beer:

Whats amazing is there is a seperate thread by Jarred stating he is in contact assisting authorities with this and the guy comes back today to make another fraudulent claim..... some people not only should be ashamed but are just plain stupid.
 
I think I may have been the first to warn about Digitial Dan, and I'm sorry I didn't send out more of a public warning to everyone but I didn't realize at the time what a shmuck this guy was. I still remember sitting at Denny's in Florida, waiting for 'ole Dan to show up (this was the third try to meet with him). Anyhow he's 30 minutes late so I'm sitting there drinking coffee at my table and I call him on my cell phone. He picks up and says <again>, he forgot about our meeting and would "race down the freeway goin' at least 120 and I'm so sorry man I just forgot again". I remember how incredibly pi$$ed I was and how difficult it was not to yell out in the middle of Denny's exactly what I thought he should go do to himself. Anyhow, aside from a rental car, the gas and a plane ticket, of course the ending could have been much worse... And although this a-hole is unfortunately a reality check that not everyone can be trusted, I have learned an incredible amount of information from everyone at this forum and I just wanted to thank everyone for making this such a good place to exchange ideas / info / equipment / whatever! Keep our heads up folks this remains a great place!!
 
This guy is pathological. He's like a virus that can not be cured.

When I was a kid I worked on a construction site in Toronto with a guy that got caught red handed stealing another trademan's tool. An astute supervisor set up a trap and nailed the guy as he was trying to hide the freshly stolen tool. I could not believe that the crook was this guy, my partner! He came across as a respectable average guy. When he got caught he was humiliated in front of a large group of workers and fired off the site. I thought to myself if that were me I would either commit harry carry or move to a different country.

A few month's later low and behold who do I see on another site across town stealing materials?

Like the construction site crook this digital dan guy has no conscience or morality. He will continue to rip people off. And like a virus, our only defense is to set up the conditions that isolate and avoid this type of bottom feeder!

I would totally set up an exchange with the guy...say you will take a check from him, but you want to meet in person to be safe. Then when he shows up with the check (fake of course), you beat the crap out of him.....hmmm perhaps this would not go over well with the authorities.....
 
Guys you actually worked with digitaldan ?? Guys what I will do is post all over the forums about his nickname and adress so everyone can know. Do that as well.
 
I guess I'm late to the party, but he ripped me off too. I sold him some tapes 4 months ago and he's never paid. He claims he never received them even though I have a delivery confirmation for them. He stopped responding to my PMs so i told him I would take other action to resolve the issue. Magically there was a reply the next day claiming that he didn't know what I was talking about. I responded and have heard no reply from him for 3 days now. If anyone can figure out a way to get this guy back please contact me. I'm willing to help out however I can.
