Digital asset management software

[sarah staar]

Is there a software only version of something like the
focus enhancements px–1 http://www.focusinfo.com/solutions/px-1.asp

This is a nice system but starts at £12,000 I would like to build one my self but I cant find any software.

The software must be able to handle P2 HDV DV MPEG H264

I need this so that producers in the office or editors in the edit can look at the database and view low res clips. The files can then be imported into the edit system.

Is there such a product ????

Apple's Final Cut Server, due in August or so would sort your problems for around £800

Is there a PC product

I think the reason it's so expensive is because of the software. I found this from a Google search, but can't find any prices anywhere:

Not sure if it handles all of the different formats you mentioned. I would imagine so, but you'd have to contact them to find out.

Hope this helps.

I wonder if Adobe Bridge is a solution for you.

(I do not know if it is available as a standalone product)
