Did we ever come to a consensus what the best stabilization device was for the HVX?

I was really looking at the Merlin but it says it's only rated up to 5 pounds. I heard some reports that with a little extra counterwiegth one could get it to work. Can one order any extra counterweights for the Merlin? Is there another solution for someone with an HVX200 who only wants to spend between $500 and $800?

I think a lot of people said the Steadicam Flyer is "da bomb." I happen to agree, but then again, I own one.

Merlin will work if you don't starting adding a lot of "heavy accessories." If you are going to be doing a lot of shooting with it you may want to start doing a lot of upper body (and lower back) strengthening exercises . . .

I just started using a Glidecam Smooth Shooter ($1500) with a Glidecam 4000 Pro ($500), which can hold cameras 4-10lbs.

Haven't used any Steadicam products, but I love the feel of the Glidecam.
