GH4 Did anyone try the Rokinon 12mm f2.0 with a Speed Booster?

I'm searching for a budget wide lens with good results. I had the Samyang / Rokinon 16mm which was absolutely stellar but wasn't wide enough and got kind of 'replaced' by my Sigma 18-35mm.
Their latest lens for APS-C camera's is the 12mm f2.0. It looks like it is similar in quality to the 16mm which was great and it is much wider as well.

I would like to buy it and use it with the Speed Booster, but I can't find anything about it online. No reports from anyone that might have tried that combo. I just wonder if it 'works' or if you end up with lots of vignetting.

Anyway it would turn the lens into a 8.5mm f1.4 on the GH4 / GH3 so that would be amazing. If anyone has any experience with this I would like to hear it!
Thanks!

That lens is designed for mirror-less cameras only & the rear element likely sits close to the film plane (sensor) so won't work properly on a Speedbooster.

Speedboosters typically work with SLR lenses.

Thanks Bern. I guess you are right then. I thought it was an APS-C lens but when I searched what you said it seems indeed that it is designed for mirrorless. Still the 'sensor coverage' is designed for APS-C so that shouldn't be the problem.
I'm not sure if this 100% confirms that it doesn't work with a Speed Booster though, but it seems you are correct.

It is an APS-C lens, but only for mirrorless, not SLRs.

Exactly. If you could boost the glass, it would probably not vignette on a GH4. But the mount does not allow room for a booster, unfortunately. You can only boost SLR glass because the reducer goes in the space normally reserved for the mirror. These lenses aren't designed to leave a space.

sooooo... (and I should probably do a search) what is the widest, no-fisheye, sub $1000 lens for the GH4 in 4K mode? I miss the look of my Canon 10mm but can't make it work on my lens turbo...
