Dicapac

I have a water park shoot on the water slides with my 60D. Anybody have experience with a Dicapac. Looks a little funky but if it keeps my camera dry and doesn't block the lens, will be OK.

They work.

I had a difficult time with one. I was using nikon AIS primes on a D7000 and everything stayed dry. With proper setup, it can be used well, without putting any thought into it (like I did the first time around) it can be a pain to use.

Try to tie the pac with extra string or bands, so that it is easier to handle. I found I wished I had three hands when operating. Suck out all the air you can, otherwise it floats and is unwieldy. The lens nozzle can stick out far past a prime lens and be an issue, but a zoom lens may be easier.

Should be fine for splashing around the slides and diving a meter or even three. If you are afraid of leaks, you could put a colored piece of paper in with the camera, and if the color turns darker, than you know there is water in the pac.

Sounds good. It does look like there is a lot of extra space in front of the lens. I thought I'd have to tether the front cover tighter against the lens so it wouldn't get in front of my shot. At first i thought the pack was a bit to loose, but given the alternatives to protecting my camera for the price, it looks like the only game in town. The color paper is a good idea as a fail-safe.
