If you have 25 minutes to spare...here's a film I shot and edited. It is about how the city of Dhaka in Bangladesh fights an age-old resident: cholera. I opted for DSLRs on this shoot not just because of the 35mm film look, but also because shooting in the busy streets in South Asia with a big camera is quite difficult without attracting massive crowds. Audio was captured via Sound Devices 702T strapped to my waist. I shot all the footage on a pair of 7Ds, which I swapped out regularly because of overheating issues in Bangladesh' scorching summer.

Prior to DSLR I shot only with video cameras. When I made the switch, I was warned that shooting verite style on DSLR was impossible, that you risk 'missing shots'. I wanted to prove that point wrong. I think you can miss shots on any camera, but more importantly you only really miss shots when you are not there! I am curious to hear your comments. Thanks for watching!
