I Just got my C100 and I am curious as to why the detail level for the default CINEMA (C-Log) picture setting is -10. To my eye, the detail level set to 0 in other profiles is a perfectly acceptable image and makes the Cinema setting look soft. Obviously I can shoot with my own tastes in mind, but I wanted to make sure I am not missing anything. Is it generally better to sharpen c-log footage in post? In my mind it seems like with the AVCHD codec it's better to do what you can in camera when it comes to retaing detail. Any one have any findings RE: this?
