detachable VF?

Hello. Wasn't sure how to search other threads for an answer to this so...
I know that the soft eye cup of the DVX is removable, but does the entire VF projection also detach?

No. I wish it were, and that it could be relocated.

Shucks. The one on my current camera does (PD170). I shall be going to India in January, am wanting to get a DVX100B for the trip, and am hoping it will fit into a smallish camcorder/dslr backpack.
