Actually, I feel pretty good about preparedness for the shoot. Joe and Lana are on their way down from MN as we speak, we're probably about 95% ready to go.

Spent the last few nights making some sandbags that turned out really good all things considered, I have a book "Killer Camera Rigs you can build" that has a great step by step. I highly recommend the book.
 
Damnit Ben, forgot to comment on your beard when you were up here. I had no idea your hair was red! Probably 'cause there's so little of it on your head you can't see what color it is. Zing.

... but seriously ... thanks for the HVX lend. After winning our first kessler crane way back in oct. 2007 for in pieces and then another in late 2008 for harold allen, I'm finally putting one to use in Desideratum.
 
Day 1 is in the books! Thank you everyone for working extremely hard throughout the long day. Just logged all the footage and I am excited. Day 2 here we come...
 
Congrats...half-way home! Can't wait to see what you come up with this time....and TWO cranes...WOW! :shocked:
 
Congrats man! We have our first shoot on Friday night... nervous as heck... we have probably four separate shoots for this one... lots of locations.

well ... it was more like 80% done after day one, day two was nice and slow and relaxed. Yeah, unfortunately I went in the hole for in pieces and had to sell the first kessler crane, and although the second one lives with Justin, he was nice enough to let me borrow it.

And in related news ... WE ARE IN THE CAN. AWESOME-SAUCE.

everyone wish Joe and Lana a safe trip home, they are on the road all day today, all the way back to MN.

thanks peeps. :dankk2: new poster uploaded on the front page.

maybe I'll put up a few grabs for you fine people here soon. normally i take a few days off after shooting to rest, but i just had to dive into this footage right away. I find you always end up with 3 different movies. There's the one that you wrote, the one you shot, and then the one that you edit together and each one is just a little different, whether you mean to or not.
