1DC: Der Grosse Sommer (Swiss film)

"Der Grosse Sommer", a Swiss film from 2016, was shot on Arri Alexa as a main camera. But for the landscape, train and stadium scenes, they shot on a Canon 1D C. When I first heard that the film has been using Canon cameras, I wrote to director Stefan Jäger, who forwarded my question to the main cameraman Knut Schmitz, who told me the details above. Schmitz also sometimes was on his own shooting landscapes on research trips and days off from filming, so he did not have the Alexa crew with him, but the 1D C. Sometimes they also wanted to make use of the 4K resolution of Canon's camera.
