Loved the trailer. Looks like a home run to me. Maybe one of your best so far, I don't know.
So, I'm dying to see it now. Do I have to wait a year or do I have to find a bootlegger?
I know guys in N.Y with cameras that go to premiers too ya know?

We'll screen it online for a limited time sometime like Mark H. and Zak have done with their festival shorts. Though if I see a guy filmming the screen in Austin I'll tell him to say hi to you.
Damn man. Thanks - for reviewing it at all. I would appreciate you taking the time good or bad. I hope you didn't pull any punches though knowing you I'm sure that's not the case (from an integrity standpoint). Glad you liked it better than Transylmania. Consider your website quoted on a postcard here in the very near future. The "print" (QuickTime on a hard drive) was just finished Thursday and delivered to SXSW. It's tough to get any press before your the festival where your film premieres, especially when you've just completed it 3 weeks before it screens. So thanks very much.

what a cool festival to get in dude! the band almost went 2 years ago and i still want to go. have fun but if you need to bring someone to run around and hand out fliers and promote...you know where the big mouth is! call me....

i was wondering if someone could give us a rundown on the audio setup they used with the gh1.
i've been looking over the smugmug pics at the rig trying to figure it out....
looks like 2 lav receivers feeding a beachtek/juicedlink, but one of the 'receivers' looks more like a transmitter? were you feeding the gh1 and also re-broadcasting to an audio cart?

We used two setups, recording four channels. We had a Zoom H4N and we also had a Beachtek occasionally plugged into the GH1 itself. The Zoom was the main audio recorder, and the Beachtek/GH1 was used for additional/safety tracks.

Just got wind of this, and peeped the trailer. Looks like a great story. Trailer really won me over when the flashback happened, it all fit together nicely. Love how you guys used the super shallow DoF as the means of the reveal and we see just enough before you end it. Nice touch.

ummm...yes...it was my alter...lol. I thought i posted it there but when I saw it here i second guessed myself.
so how is the promo going on this one?
i really am tickled pink you are going to SXSW with this new project. i watched the trailer again yesterday and it has such a sweetness to it yet i expect something bad to happen. i really can't wait to see this one.

OK. Lots of work to do still. New postcards, (below and in first post), still have to complete press kit, update website, and get DVD burned with press kit to SXSW screening library where judges and industry people can watch the films privately if they can't make your screening (by tomorrow at 5)

I really enjoyed the trailer. Nice choice of lighting, great shoot angles on subjects. Who art directed the short? Kudos there. :thumbsup:
Best to you all on this project's success. Have you considered adapting the screenplay to a feature? I was very curious as to how or if the protagonist's life was going to change. I want to see more. :beer:
