Depth of Field Calculators on the iPhone/iPad

Do you use a Depth of Field calculator? I'm thinking of purchasing one for the iPad. I'm wondering if a lens has to be in a database or if one just enters basic info.

Lenses are all going to deliver identical DOF, for an equivalent focal length. So you just type in the focal length. you're dealing with.

The thing that has to be in its database is the frame size of the camera you're using (or, barring knowing that, it would need the appropriate circle of confusion size).

Thanks, Barry.

My own circle of confusion is ever so large. And concentric.

if you've got internet access, you can use the one my web:
http://www.similaar.com/foto/dof/dof.php

it's just a simple php form that uses the standard formulas from wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depth_of_field

after toying with it for a while, I found out this very interesting result:
http://www.similaar.com/foto/dof/dof_notes.html

and built a very useful simplified version:

(there's a slight bug: whenever you see a negative number, it means "infinity"; I may fix it some day... I just never felt the urge so far, as I think I may be the only one that uses that form)
