Nice post. I really like MB Denoiser, but it's pretty unworkable in anything outside of AE. Boris Continuum Complete also has a Denoiser that seems to work really well.

And, of course, NeatVideo, which a lot of users swear by.

Hopefully Denoiser 2 will be faster. The current version is slow.

Haven't tried that but I bet it's a possibility. In Denoiser, you can use the Highlight and Shadow Offset in advanced settings to do the same thing, but I wonder what the different approach would yield.

I'm getting great results using TMPGEnc Xpress's noise removal filter! Also use the contour sharpening (like Unsharp mask in AE). I also use this program for all my transcodes and conversions to mp4 and whatnot.
