Demo Reel (Hey Guys)

Hey guys,

I am very new here, but I love it and I have learned a lot by browsing old threads and watching some of your videos. I think I will stick around for a long time. I thought I would introduce myself with some of the work I have done in the past.

Here is a 1:30 demo reel I put together (unfortunately I don't own enough royalty free music yet, so that's the best track I could find I already had purchased for the time being).

The entire first segment of the reel consists of projects I did in high school. The second part is a mix of high school and freshman year at college. I'm 19.

Tell me what you think!

p.s. here are some links to other past works if you want to view in their entirety:

Cigarettes Never Lie (Film Noir)

The Secret (Fake Movie Trailer)

Car Wreck Scene (Scene I directed)

Equipment List:

DVX100B
Mac Pro Quad Core, Terabyte Internal, 250 Internal, 250 External, 1 gig (just bought 4) RAM
Final Cut Studio
After Effects
I use work lights for lighting right now (need money!)

Oh man, good question. Frankly, I have no clue. I mean, I do odd jobs for people here and there. I've done 3 weddings, and so obviously I show prospective clients some wedding footage. This reel though? I just put it together for fun I suppose.

Pretty good stuff, Only thing I could add would be to be aware of aspect ratios, your footage looks a bit stretched in much of it. Also with the earth zoom clip, Is that not the exact clip from the video copilot tutorial? I would be weary of using that.

Reel looks really good! Can't wait to see what you do when you get some $$$$ behind you!
