Demo - How we shoot / steadicam stuff

I liked it. Cool song and the editing was nice. The only things I didnt like was that it felt too long. I've got a short attention span so maybe I'm on the extreme end of things but at 1:30 I was getting really bored. I also felt like I was seeing the same shots over and over again. Maybe bring in shots from a different shoot too. I know you probably didnt repeat shots but there was a shot of the steadicam going up the stairs and then later again but in don juan. Liked the look and feel of it though.
 
Not as much of a fan personally.

The music (being from Pirates) was slightly distracting. It got better as you got into the techno part. I also felt like the fast cuts were a little too fast. Especially with the fades, it was harder for me to grasp each picture. I also was slightly disappointed we didn't get to see a final edit of what you shot at the end.

Keep it up though! What's the name of your steadicam system? I saw you vest and didn't recognize it immediately.
 
Kind of misses the point of a demo reel. Clients don't hire you to watch you work, so why is that all you are showing? Clients want a finished product. Show some finished products!
 
Finished product is coming along :)

Why we made this demo? because of private clients, not corporate onces, despite the fact
that they see final product, most of them does not imagine what it takes to shoot with
steadicam and what's the difference, and why pay 2x more when you can get some cheap
guy with oldschool dv camera and get it one cheaply, though the result is not the same,
naturally..

the shot of the steadicam 0:15 starts kinda shaky. I noticed it right away.
Consider doing some splitscreens to show you work and the end result.
The setup is a bit long could be shorter.
The overall length is ok I would show some more end results.
So that clients know why you charge an extra camel :)

at 0:15 there is no steadicam shot :) all was shot handheld, i agree about end result, it will be up next week, i post here :) Also great idea abou split screen stuff, thanks!

It seems like you guys made this video to make you look cool, not your work. I can't say it was effective in either sense.

Tell me what you can do, then show me that you're good at it. I see geeks and gear everyday, and no amount of cuts and techno music will make it look cool,.. whatever it is you do.

If you're a production company,.. then let's see some production and the company,.. I'd like to see your lighting, camera work, acting, directing, sets, locations, costumes, make-up, and effects in a reel of your past work. Not what you look like when your shooting. Behind the scenes of you isn't interesting because there's no context or relevance.

Sorry to be brutal, I'm sure you have tons of talent, and I'd like to see it, not you!
