"Defenseless: Part One" - guerrilla-made action/comedy

I'm a co-founder of a small production company called Finite-Films, where we're integrating social media and indie filmmaking. We release a new short film every month, and each film is based on "constraints" (restrictions or rules that define the films) that are submitted by visitors to our website.

Our latest film was a bit of a doozy--it features a swanky party in the Hollywood hills, many elements shot against green screen, and a car chase down Wilshire Blvd. shot guerrilla-style. I'm very proud of how everything came out considering we had no budget and it was all shot at night in mostly uncontrolled environments. Any feedback welcome!!

And to watch how we did it, check out our behind-the-scenes production diary:

Thank you!

It was definitely tricky and exactly as hard as you would think it would be. It required I would say at least ten full nights of shooting to make it happen. And careful use of VFX so as to keep us from doing things that would surely get us arrested. If you want to check out more of our films, or see more of the making-of you can visit our website: www.finite-films.com

VEERRY GOOOD. How did you do the gun flash effects and the fake squibs?
And where did you get the plastic gun?
