Hi guys am racking my brain here for what to do.
I have an xh-a1 use to have a 35mm adapter but got so fed up with the big bulk on setting it up, getting back focus, staying below certain aperture blah blah blah.
Im planing on mainly using for short 20min films and music video.
Now the 7d has come on the scene Im thinking hmmm small lightweight and no adapters to fiddle about with.
Im wondering if I should cut the xh-a1 lose on ebay and get the following to get me started:
Canon 7d
2 x spare battery
4 x 8gb 300 xudma (80mins of film storage)
17-55 2.8 lens IS
85 1.8 lens IS
Zoom H4N for audio (have NTG 1 Rode mic) ( resolve the sound issue?)
Zacuto z finder
What do you guys think, have I over looked anything, would I be making a big mistake getting rid of the XH-a1 for all this for what I want to do. My biggest grip is the dof, especially when shooting short film, two couple sitting on a bench splitting up and a couple of kids walk past in background totally in focus will lose the who build up to the scene in my opinion.
Any advice on this would be fantastic
I have arri lights and tripods, indi pro slider, shoulder mount and kessler crane.
Thanks guys
