decent polarizing filters for Nikon and Zeiss prime lenses?

What would be some decent neutral density polarizing filters that would protect Nikon and Zeiss manual lenses and do them justice.

How much do you have to spend to get decent protective filters for these lenses where the filter isn't so cheap that it starts to diminish picture quality.
