So today is the big day... :cheesy:

...it's allready 1:08am on the 29th here in Finland..

- Mikko ....won't see one for a while, it'll be monthes untill they hit Europe anyway...

I wish I could be there! We can still wait here in Europe!
But I hope I can watch a lot of new stills from the camera or footage till march!

Rush... do we send in our checks/money order on the 29th? Or do we await your email for final prices and go ahead on payment?

Rush said for all DVXusers to show up at his store at 7am tomorrow morning with cash in hand, lined up sequentially by their place on the preorder list, and that they'll have 150 cameras to sell to everyone to everyone that brings him breakfast.

(JOKE) ;-)

The last I've heard is that Panasonic would be shipping on the 29th, but that means most dealers won't get them until early January. He's also stated that he may get as few as 10 cameras in the first shipment, and he's probably going to keep one to rent out, so he could have as few as 9 available. I am sure that Rush will let everyone know absolutely ASAP when he has the cameras, how many, and who will be able to pick one up out of the first batch. I don't think you should be sending money early unless you are aware that you may not have the camera for a couple more weeks and you just want the check to have time to clear before you get it.

Thanks for the reality check, Haakon.

I'm kinda reading things that ain't there.

Maybe I'm starting to hallucinate.

Hang on... a large pink rabbit in a FedEx uniform is unloading a box on my driveway...

I just want to see the footage that Kaku is about to post. I've heard complaints of noise issues from him already.

Me needs to see.

Noise issues??

Lardy Lard. Make that not be true!

Hopefully it's a glitch... and something Panasonic can correct...

Hopefully it's as noisefree as the Sony FX1, at least... cos' I hate noise!

Save us, Jan!

Ma caro Emanuel, 535.50 dollars? My wallett will cry already when I buy Hvx200!!
I hope Panasonic itself resolves noise problems!

For 35mm film-out, mio caro Danilo! And if your stuff will be so great as your sensibility I'm interesting to pay it for you as your producer or co-producer, maybe, who knows?

OK!...if there will be noise, there is always the post-production way in order to correct it, right?

For instance:
http://www.pluginz.com/product/12124?from=rlist&

I've never done noise reduction on video before, so I can't really comment, except spectulate, so if I'm mistaken, lemme have it with both barrels:embarasse :

Noise reduction programs seem to work ok on digital still pics... mainly because you can selectively apply it to areas of concern.... and this is tough to do on video.

In video you'll need to apply it to everything... and may smooth out detail, which the nr program could mistake for noise.

Hopefully the reports of the HVX being noisy will be a non-issue.

If anyone has used noise-reduction in videos, please advise as to the feasablilty of such programs.

Yeah the 29th is the ship date everyone.. i wouldnt be knocking on any dealers doors tommorow.

Depends if shipping means from Japan, or from the big Panasonic warehouse in the US.

Anyways, i wouldn't hold my breath till after this holiday week.. almost everyone "important" is on holidays anyways... Jan, Rush etc. etc.

You leave me without words!:) I can't deserve your compliments!

I'm not good in arts, I feel more like as a monkey, I study over and over evr'y thing I can.
Till I can, maybe a day my family kicks me out from home, and I must make works for
survive. In Italy there are only call-center works, or something.
I really hope all my various studies can be useful for people that will see my works.

I hope to buy a Ztar to make soundtracks!:)

35mm film out?! Telecine of my future works? It's something of sci-fi!

I can send you some drawings I've made, or classical guitar music played by me (Bach lute pieces) via email! Actually I've only this stuff!

Thanks for appreciating my "unknow" sensibility! There's in evr'y men, so mine it's not so precious! Thanks!

Hey Jarred also you talk with me! It's great day! It's an honour for me ispiring someone of another language and culture to interest about me! I can die today now!

I live in a province of Naples, a city near to Pozzuoli (the city of Sofia Loren you know?) :)

I'm 24 years old, and I'm strange guy that love arts! I'm multifaceted in arts so I do various things.
My dream, as millions of more worthy people than me, is become a director, and I think is necesarry to have various skills, to be able drawing, playing music, write, culture!

All this skills could be useful when I do my movies!

I have no money to go to Cinecittà Holding (in Rome), so it's more important self-financing, err...family financing!

We'll see what I can do when I buy an hvx200!

Cheers! :)

p.s.: after I've bought Hvx200 and editing station I'll become surely a tramp and homeless! Because my family surely kicks my butt out if I don't become "famous"

I wouldn't rely on that - such tools are generally a trade off, and whilst they may improve noise it may be at the expense of other things such as sharpness or motion.

It would surprise me if noise was a serious issue in general, certainly in decent light. Maybe some have expectations that are just unrealistic given price and 1/3" chips? Lets wait and see.
