Just wrapped on a short paranormal drama.

Hey, just updating the thread with the trailer.

The director wanted the day shots to have a classic 1980's American cinema feel (which is not specific, but I think we landed on something that met this criteria for him). For certain day interiors we wanted to make the air and light feel dense, to suggest the presence of the spirit that inhabits the house.

For the night time scenes, we decided to use lots of darkness, as well as color temperature contrast to suggest loss and conflict.

It was a low budget shoot, with a G&E crew of 1&1.

Below are some frame grabs from the proxies...so not the final grade yet, just represent our on-set look.

 Looks nice & moody...and dare I say - does have a bit of film nostalgia look of 70's / 80's...
Love to see trailer, etc when able to post more.

Thanks, Mark!

Yeah, I'll post the trailer when the producer gives the OK.

These look fantastic! Sony F65? Which lenses? How did you light the shower scene?

Thanks, Teddy!

Yep, F65.

We used a set of Zeiss Standard Speeds.

I lit the shower scene with a Litemat 2, with some extra grid cloth and black wrap to finesse and shape.

Ok, great. The frame with the lamp silhouetted in the background in front of the curtains looks really great as well.
