DC coupler problems

I have a GH2 with a hack I didn't install. My problem is I have a DMW-DCC8 battery coupler and it will not work in the camera. Batteries will but not the coupler. I am feeding it with a larger battery but still 8.4v lithium. The screen that pops up is this battery will not work. How do I solve this. Can I back flash to see if that will allow DCC8 to work then go back to the hack? Is there a setting to change in the firmware?

Errrr, there is a ton of information about the correct voltage and also amperage you MUST use in order to make the adaptor work.

Look at the amperage your putting out to the adaptor, also the battery when it's fully charged and fully discharged.
I am using a 11.1v Lipo battery with a "step down" converter - which turns my input into 9.1v / 2.5A output which then goes into my adaptor - camera.

But 8.4v is a "floor", any lower voltage and your camera wont power-up. So you need to look at the EXCAT power your maintaining to the adaptor.
You need a MIN. of 8.4v running over 1mAh. But its safe to run up to 9v.
