GH2 DC Coupler Modification - Constant 9V output plus Polarity protection

This video is WAAAAAAAY overdue, but non the less, here it is and it can be applied to the GH3 as well I am sure. What I can say, as this is my now second DC Coupler, the first is still working perfectly with no adverse effects experienced. The only difference the other version has, is I used a coil power cable from a mobile phone charger.

The reason I did this was in order to completely protect my GH2 since for me living in South Africa, I'll have to ship my camera abroad to get fixed - the GH2 was never officially released here and thus I imported mine from Japan as an open box purchase. That and at the proposed $320 more or less, it doesn't make sense to make the mistake of polarity or over voltage. I'd rather buy another GH2.

I can now input at DC voltage ranging from 6V to 23V. I have not tried using the AC adapter since I used a male DC jack on the Coupler, and the AC adapter has a male DC jack. I am sure it'll work, but I'll try it sometime in the future and report back.

A thank you goes out to my Samsung Galaxy S2 for being camera man.
