I was under the impression that the XH-A1 didn't record the date and time in minutes clicking off without some special software or something?
Just shot an interview. Got back to studio and placed the tape into a Canon HV20 that I use as my playback deck and tape ingesting to the computer. I was stunned that the date and time in minutes was showing on the monitor. (this is just on playback, not ingesting into the computer)
This made me panic a little because I sure didn't want the date and time burned into the tape I just shot!!!! So, I hooked up the XH-A1, popped the tape in and played it from there. No date and time showed up....WHEW!!!!!
Does anyone know what is going on here? And if the XH-A1 does indeed record the date and time, that would be useful for some instances like shooting legal video.
