Data Rate 4K RAW - how does FS700/7Q manage?

Hi there,

When recording 4k 60p with FS700 + 7Q - the data rate is around 640 MB/s (13.4 MB each frame). How does this even work with just a 3G SDI?

Maybe Mitch has the answers?

1. FYI, Mitch doesn't work for CD anymore. He might still answer questions, but it's not his job.

2. The camera isn't sending the Odyssey a video signal, it's sending a DATA signal. The Odyssey processes the data signal into the appropriate format for recording.

And I believe both SSD's are recording at the same time in 60p.

Sony uses 3.6x compression on their raw. This is critical for making the math work.
