Daghe fogo is a zero budget drama comedy set in the city of Rovinj in Croatia. It is about the social problems that can affect people from various castes, seen through a demented and tragicomic perspective. Dilemmas and situations that nobody wants to talk about even thought we're all familiar with. The languages spoken are croatian, italian and the local dialect because of the multiculturality of our region.

TRAILER:
The trailer has no dialogs because the movie is still in audio postproduction. Hopefully, it will be ready until the end of may 2013.

Short production diary

Short production diary

The project began six years ago when I wrote down the screenplay. It took me a year to find someone willing to contribute on the making of the movie. That person was the photographer and friend Fabio Damuggia. After that we spent a year building all the necessary equipment, earning money for the dvx 100, finding the locations, making the scenography and finding the cast and the crew (with no salary, of course). Luckily, we found a lot of artists who helped us with the acting, composing and using their music, organisations, such as the local fire department and the hospital, and bar owners for the locations. Followed by two years of shooting, during which Marko Sovulj, a german filmmaker, joined us and our team (El Mozzo pictures) was born. The last two years consisted in a long, never ending postproduction, which brought us many difficulties. But finally, at the end of may 2013, our project will be concluded. :)

Thanks for that! It looks like it was a lot of fun to shoot, and you guys showed a lot of creativity in making your own technical solutions :) I wish you a ton of luck!

I friggin love the shot of the POV cigarette smoking. You obviously did your best to make this visually creative, so bravo. Good luck with getting it out there.

Yes i was fun but not all the time. was a period where we was o leave all the project because we encountred so many difficulties, we were desparate!! fortunately we finish the film! :)

Your film looks very creative and interesting! I love the fact that you shot on DVX100 and B&W. The cast has a great look.

I'm looking forward to seeing this so keep us posted!
