d90 to downconvert for SD-DVD in Premiere

export as 720p then use the avisynth destep script and change the last line to 720x576/480, open this in your dvd encoder and export as mpeg.

Many roads lead to Rome. Downscaling is not such a huge problem like upscaling. If you have After effects use it => first stairstep fix (Displacement map), afterwards downscaling. AE makes an incredible job in scaling.

Even if you only use PP you won´t see any big difference:

- open up a SD-DV-Project
- import your footage
- drag it down to the tl
- RMC "scale to frame size"
- edit + export to Mpeg2-DVD

BTW: Scripts drive me nuts and therefore I don´t like AVISynth :-)). But maybe it´s a good way as well. I didn´t figure it out....
- Hey matt, what´s up in Stockholm? Spring is coming? The swedish guys "Mando Diao" are rocking across germany, No 1 in every chart...

using the avisynth script is really easy, you just enter the path to the avi file in one place, your output format of choice in another, and then you're done.

stockholm is snow, below zero, but no wind and clear skies. i wouldn't call it spring yet. mando are from the town borlänge like me, i've worked with their baby brothers sugarplum fairy, they all deserve the fame. :-)
