WOWSER! Love that "organic" Nikon look. It may be lights out for my T2i. NO QUESTION....this is a better photography camera (as well it should be for 400usd more)...but...I've ALWAYS liked the Nikon organic look better than ANY of the DSLRs. We'll see though....but ....nice to see anyway.

From the first page. Ditto.

So far each DSLR has weaknesses and strengths (including areas of opinion, such as the Nikon look... and the Canon look). I got a GH1 with trembling excitement... hacked it to a GH13, only to realize there's still areas where it didn't impress me. So I got a t2i to supplement the GH13 hoping to fill in the holes... and intending to replace my Nikon for stills... with the t2i for stills (mainly) and "patching" any GH13 weaknesses.

What I'm finding with the t2i is what I already experienced with Canon many years ago, when I jumped ship from Canon to Nikon. Nikon color rendition is simply better... and yes, call it "organic" or whatever... the Nikon look is the look I like. To me it's zero comparison... my Canon shots are looking sterile and boring... oddly "cold"... and the exact same shots through a D70s look vibrant, rich, and interesting. (talking stills here)... and most importantly, this is using a 70-200 IS II on the t2i... vs. using an 18-70 kit lens on the Nikon (both at 70mm).

Because of Canon's clear lead (at least up to now) in video for DSLR... I'd planned to sell off the last of my Nikon gear and never see another Nikon again... but I've been unpleasantly surprised at what I'm losing in replacing a "cheap" Nikon rig, with an expensive Canon rig (inc. glass)... and I'm back to thinking that I'll probably end up with another Nikon in my future.

Probably this one.
