I think Nikon would be working more on a D400 type camera than something to compete with the D3s that hasn't even came out yet. Nikon's problem right now is the 7D.
 
It is nice to dream!! I have cameras to shoot with but not ready to pull the trigger for anything out right now. I would like to see a 1080 HD Nikon and it might be existent product!! You never know about this rumors!! LOL.

I agree that this is more likely to be a d400 than a d4. The d3s is barely out...I really hope it's a d400 that has full frame, but I doubt that will happen as they are still making DX lenses. Maybe its the d700xs? Again one can still dream...

'But dreaming doesn't have to mean not shooting, I was going to buy a 7d recently but decided I wasn't ready to make the switch I just bought Zak's d90 and with the money I saved bought the Nikon 50mm f1.2...ohh yeah.

So I am still hoping there will be some better video in the future, but I am alright for now.
 
Smart move. I've almost bought the 7D and the D300s a couple of times. But I just think I'm going to wait for the next Nikon. Unless there is a really good price drop. I'd just rather have full use of my nikon lenses with the camera and not use an adapter to use the 7D.
I could get the Nikon D00s now for $1600 and have my 2.8 Nikon glass. The 7D would be over $2000 for a kit and an ok lens. Just not worth it to me.
 
Ya exactly, d90 for life...or for a little while longer haha. Who knows, maybe there could still be a firmware manual control update... Again, one can dream.
