D300s positive news? Some manual controls?

So I still see Nikon rumors about a D400. I wonder if that is not as likely now that the D300s is coming out?
 
It all boils down to this in D300s and future models:

Is the staircasing gone?
Is the codec improved?
Do we have full HD?
Is the sensor not heating up?
Is there no recording limit?
And finally full manual controls?

These need to be solved.

i can live with 720p, that's the least of our problems, and for me personally the recording limit isn't a dealbeaker either. the stairstepping is actually somewhat a plus since it allows for near lossless scaling to 800p so in a way it offers increased resolution, but i'd still like to see it gone. the rest is spot on.
 
I think it's all spot on myself...but I also don't think Nikon gives a tinker's damn what any of us think.
 
I'm still sticking with nikon glass just in case nikon gets their **** together at least until canon does 24p

Can you recommend a good adaptor for the GH-1 to use Nikon lenses? I have some manual Nikon primes i bought for 35mm adaptor use, and would like to use them with my GH-1 when it arrives.
