Like the most of you I had great expectations waiting for the d300s. I don´t own a d90. Though I shoot stills with my d200 and pretty much loves it. So I´m not planning on leaving Nikon just yet.
If I´m just planning on using the d300s for minor personal "art" projects and filming every day life, will it work out ok right?
It will probably be fine, but remember that is much harder to fovus a video slir than a conventional camcorder. If you don't mind the lack of manual exposure controls, then the max 5min clip time will probably be your main concern.
On the other hand I bet it is a SWEEEET stillscamera. The D300 is brilliant and the D300s promises quite a bit more on the stills side of things. Better and faster AF, more FPS, improved processing etc.
