D all anamorphic lenses create the ultra-wide look?

I'm considering purchasing a Sankor anamorphic adapter model M. If the lens is anamorphic will it create 2.35:1 ?. I have a canon T2i currently.

I believe the Sankor is a 2x squeeze, which will give you 3.56:1, and you'd have to crop the sides. I love the look of the 2x squeeze, but you will end up losing some resolution. To get 2.35:1 without cropping, you'd need a 1.33x squeeze, like the Panasonic or Iscorama, and I believe the Century/Optex ones are 1.33 as well.
