custome functions

would someone be able to walk me through how to set this bad boy up?

In menu. customize . customizable functions and cuztomizable display.

i go in there, ive read the manual, and im completely lost!

Not sure what you don't understand. Custom presets are the presets you can fine tune the image using all the various image controls in its menus. Custom functions allow you to have 3 setups (imagine 3 people using the camera, each wanting it set up differently) of the different functions the camera allows. Custom displays is where you define what info you want displayed on your finder.

my problem wsa figuring out how to correctly use it. I understood the concept, but found myself slightly lost when looking at something that resembled a calender.
