C100: Custom Picture - what does the Color Correction setting do?

I'm trying to fine tune my profile to match a GH3. Does anyone know how the "Color Correction" settings in the PP work? Here's what the manual says:

"The camcorder detects the characteristics of certain color (phas, chroma, area, and Y level) and corrects them when recording. You can set the color correction for up to two different areas (A and B)."

What's an "area"? Is this a crop of the sensor, or a set of colors?

OK, I'll answer my own question.

I had a shoot a few days ago where someone was wearing a bright green lycra shirt - the C100 image didn't match my B camera (a GH3), and the GH3 looked far more accurate to my eye. I had already adjusted the picture profile on the C100 quite a bit to match the GH3, and skin tones and gamma curves look great with my settings, but solid greens are just off. I started playing with the Color Correction setting in the C100.

Areas are user selectable sets of the color gamut. In my case, I set the CC to corect for "Area A", then went into the "Settings" for Area A while pointing the camera at something solid green. I changed the phase to 21 and the green I was shooting showed zebra stripes. I then went into the Area A "Revisions", and changed the gain to +50 and the phase to -18 (max settings). It's now right on with the GH3 (and more accurate to my eye).

Great feature!

For anyone who's interested, my Picture Profile settings on the C100 are:

Gamma: Cine1
Black: Master pedestal -2
Low Key Saturation: On, +5
Knee: On, 0/95/0
Color Matrix:
Select Cine1
Gain +15
Phase +10

Alternatively, I have used the same settings with WideDR with equally good results, but change the color matrix as follows:
Select WideDR
Gain -10
Phase 0
R-G +20
R-B +4
G-R -4
G-B 0
B-R 0
B-G +5
