T2i Custom picture styles, nothing happens!

Got my 550D a few days ago, and it's awesome. But, I've tried to load some of those picture styles to boost up the dynamic range and flatten things up a bit. I load them into the EOS utility, and it tells me it's loaded. I then select in in the the camera, but the camera still calls it Picture style Standard or something (don't have the camera right here right now), and whatever I shoot with it looks identical to footage shot with the "standard" picture style. What am I doing wrong?

You can only load the new styles to your user presets as far as i know. That's how i do mine.

That's what I'm doing, and I can even select it and use it with still images. It works properly then, and I can clearly see the loss of unnecessary contrast. But when I go into video mode, and select the picture style through the menu, nothing happens.

All I can say is that, yes there is a way to load a custom picture style in the user presets and use them for video. I have done it in the past. I just don't remember all the steps right now.
