Ok I have the site up and running just for you guys! You can order the straight or the right angle connectors. The right angle connectors are three times more expensive for me to buy than the straight ones but it's still a killer deal. The ip address below will change to dpfilms.com when the dns records go through (by this weekend I hope) but you can get there by typing in the ip in your browser. When I get a few orders I'll place the order for the materials. This isn't a money making venture for me so I carry no inventory, I'm usually busy playing with my new camera!

hey so when do you think you can send the cables out? Oh yeah, i just bought the AT835b in new condition for $150.00 this afternoon. I'll upgrade later. Probbably gonna get the tripod from EVS next week.

Ordered the stuff for you guys cables today. I should be able to ship e'm out next week sometime. This is my first run so be patient. I ordered some extra, so after this first run I should have a couple extra on hand for quick shipment.

I got mine yesterday too. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it looks like a very nicely made cable, with the angled connectors.

dprendergast, one thing I noticed about the cable connectors is that due to the angle of the female end that connects to the camera, I can't put it in the lower input #2, only the upper input #1. The camera's ledge about input 2 is in the way of the angled cable, thus not allowing a full insertion. I don't think the DVX100 and 100A are different in this area are they? I have a 100A.

Imran, you can loosen the 2 screws on the connector and rotate the degree that it bends to make it clear, depending hoe much slack the solder points have.

Hey Jarred, I gave that a shot, but the problem is that while I can rotate the setting enough to make the angle better, the setting only recesses enough into the housing enough at certain increments, otherwise it won't close back up all the way. The increments are too far apart to be useful - if I could just nudge it a bit and reseal it I would be fine, but the next increment just puts me at another bad angle which actually makes the cable dip down below the camera bottom so I wouldn't be able to set it down.

Strancali, do you have the same issue with plugging it into the lower Input #2 or is yours ok?

same as yours imran. I only use input 1. I think its fine though unless i need input 2 later.

You can try this: Unscrew the bottom half of the connector and slide it down the cable out of the way - Remove both screws and remove the cap and plastic insert - CAREFULLY push some cable back out of the connector into a loop to give you some slack (about 6" worth) you should now be able to slide the male end out of its insert so its just hanging out - Now you can rotate the insert to the angle which works best for you. Once you get it where you want, just re-insert the male part back in and with your left thumb pressed on the solder joints slowly pull the cable back out being careful not to let it twist any and you should be good to go. The right angle connectors are a little tricky to get just right depending on which input you choose. I prefer a right angle on the mic end and a straight one into the input.
