Some pretty big productions around here. Knew a few people that worked on 300 a while back, and someone who was on the mummy 3. Someone saw death race (ewww) being filmed here... ummm... occasionally see some stuff around town. They use "old montreal" a lot for European cities, and the regular city parts for American cities. The only film that I can think of where Montreal was actually Montreal is 'The Score'.

I spent two years in Prince George, B.C. when my father was in the Air Force. Brrrrrrr, that was cold.

Many years ago when I worked in the High Arctic someone asked me, "What brings you to this Godforsaken Frozen H*llhole?"

I said, "I'm from Winnipeg!".

They replied,"That makes sense. It's a lot nicer up here in the Winter!"
 
Born and raised in Winnipeg. Worked in the film industry for a little over ten years in Toronto. Now I live just outside of Minneapolis. It is Canada like here.
