Just out of curiosity, I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but how many fellow DVXuser's here are Canadian?

I was just wondering how many Canadians are actually on here, I know I've seen a few, but it doesn't seem like there are too many.. We need more Canadian film makers! :D
If you are Canadian, which part of Canada are you from?

I'm from Sunderland.. a little known small town about an hour North-East of Toronto

I'm not Canadian, but I love Rush, Great Big Sea, Molson Canadian and backbacon...

Oh, and we used to drive from upstate NY to Canada for 'real' beer.

...does that count for anything?

Ironic, cos I hate all those things (minus the backbacon) :) Although Great Big Sea was one of the first concerts I ever went to.

Home of the Belleville Bulls.

Toronto here. Downtown. Where all the 'action' is...lol :D

I've yet to see (in person) a big budget production filming here that:

a) isn't CBC
b) isn't using the city to stand-in for another city (i.e. Toronto for NY, Boston, Chicago, etc)
c) is a Canadian production... remember, I said big budget lol

Actually, I don't really drink Molson anymore...hardly any beer that I can see through. But the rest still stands.

Definitely a big fan of Molson Canadian (Actually it's the only beer I drink other than the occasional MGD or Coors), and back bacon

I was walking home from work last night and walked past a pretty big budget, checked it out for a bit and crossed Georgia St and noticed they changed the sign to 8th Ave and one of the buildings had a bunch of American Flags up around them, they always film there and this one building always doubles for the FBI headquarters.

And there's a church near my place where they filmed scenes in all three X-men movies, there's always something being filmed in there.

Yeah, I hardly touch Canadian beer, few exceptions, usually stick with European beer.

Representing Northern Ontario.
Sault Ste. Marie.

Takes me almost 7 hours to drive to downtown TO from here (depending on how many Tim Horton pit stops on the way)!

Not FROM Canada, but I'm currently filming in Toronto. Both of my lossfest entries "Falling Up" and "Keeper of the Lost" were filmed all around Toronto.

i did recently pass 2 big budget productions but didn't stop to check them out since I was on the way to a shoot.

Any idea what they might have been? A couple weeks or so ago, I saw them working "Chloe" with Liam Neeson, near the Yuk Yuks over by Richmond and University

I thought I posted here, but I guess not. I'm from Pickering, Ontario (about half an hour east of Toronto).

The house I grew up in (and where my parents still live) sits right across the border from Abbotsford, BC... and I just bought a 6-pack of Kokanee. That's almost got to count for something. Eh. :D

Yeah, I thought I heard something about Liam Neeson (who's great, btw) being in town shooting during his wife's accident. What a tragic thing to happen to anybody, especially someone as talented as her...

And for all the 'Canadian beer' drinkers, check this fact out. May not mean much, cuz let's face it, if people really want something to drink...

Barrie Ontario, about 45 - 60 min north of toronto, yes it snows a lot. Like right now, we have 25+ cm of snow in the middle of april, last week we saw 10+ degrees!
