ALL: CS6 Price Drop?

Does anybody think the price of the cs6 programs will drop anytime soon what with the cloud programs going forward?
 
The colud apps will always cost you more in the long run. I keep my editing software for approx 4 years before I change. Price might drop some but not because of cloud app.
 
I went with CS5.5 last year when they dropped the price to 50% when CS6 was going to be released. Soon I think I will upgrade to CS6 (for $375) and hold there for a little while. I am not overly fond of the creative cloud idea unless they design a different structure in which different apps can be utilized separately or at least in different production groups. I wouldn't use MOST of what is included in the all-encompassing cloud service.

I don't know what software you buy but Adobe's Production Premium suite is $1900. If you wait for years to upgrade you'd pay full retail which is another $1900. Creative Cloud is $2400 for four years (If you qualify for the first year discount it would be a little cheaper). If you only buy PPro (which I think is $800 bucks) then yeah it will be cheaper to buy a new version every 4yrs.

Very doubtful. Retail sales of CS6 have already been discontinued by Adobe. They are not shipping the software to distributors anymore. They are only continuing to make CS6 available as an online purchase direct from Adobe's web site.
