Craft video shot on C300

Thanks very much. A little 3-color correx seemed to get the d800 in the ballpark of the c300. Then a quicklooks over both.
Any tips or suggestions welcome!

I thought it was a great vid. Sometimes I was a bit bothered by the lack of headroom (0:24, 1:16 for example), but otherwise I really enjoyed the piece. Nicely done!

I agree with Cowpunk.....apart from a few shots of a head missing here or there it was great.

Only tip I would give you is a tip to me on colour correction.

Being a bit colour blind is a huge hindrance to me on that aspect of editing.

Great job!

It`s a little too contrasty for my taste. ( I don`t know if this was camera settings or done in post )

I also agree with Cowpunk on some of the framing. ( either a tighter shot, or show the whole person )

I totally agree. I have this tendency to chop heads. Any suggestions in training myself for traditional medium, close and extreme close frames?

People are mentioning the headroom. Apply the rule of thirds as a start point and allow space between head and top of frame in a medium shot. Also saw some missed focus. Finally, I too found it a bit contrasty and the kicker a bit harsh for a light airy craft video. Keep working on those things, it'll come.

I must say I liked the kinds harsh lighting on the shows host! And even with the tad too much contrast, the C300 looks "rich". Thanks for showing!

Thanks for the tips. I'll check into the rule of thirds and do some research about framing. Next time, if I don't have a focus puller, I'll rent a follow focus and mark the two main focus points--the talent's faces and the closer hands. Sound like a good way to nail the focus?
