the heat
Warning, graphic detail
today it's 96 degrees with +37% humidity and an 8mph breeze.
This is an improvement over what it has been.
Try riding a GSXR in rush hour (an oxymoron) on black pavement in racing leather cause road rash really sux.
About bodies and liquification.
I have seen lots of dead folk in the last 10 years. You don't want to die in water and not get found for awhile. One word, soup.
The summer I moved to Austin it rained for one month straight. This is not exageration. We got called to a possible 555 (dead guy). He hadn't liquified in the heat and humidity. After death, your body starts to break down and lots of things relax. Fluids are released from all of the places you would expect and then as the tissue breaks down, fluid seeps out of the body and into whatever it is lying on. Shag carpet, wood floor, car seats. A body exposed to heat and humidity will become a big bag of fluid and if handled roughly, well......
By the way, in the scene in Bad Boys, when Will and Martin go into the house and sniff and look at one another for a second before realizing what they are smelling, well, there is no hesitation. You immediatly know what you are smelling. And when you go home and get in a hot shower, you smell it again. The next day, when you blow your nose, you smell it again.
Pleasant dreams, pass the chicken.
