Cr@Zy from the Heat!

It seems several threads are taking a turn-for-the-worse with lots of accusations, misunderstandings, and even insults.

I'm wondering if the Summer HEAT is a contributor to the stress.

So, my question is... How are you guys/gals dealing with heat-related stresses this Summer? Any good stories?

I'm taking a summer school class, and the room is air conditioned. I'm actually a bit excited to go to class!

How do I deal with heat? i sit down in an air conditioned room and drink some coke, and either go on here..or jus sit around and relax. But then again..i then have football everyday..and its hot as balls in our weight room cuz its a big bubble. So its like a big bag of popcorn almost...and it smells like ass.

Any good stories? hm....well...

About a week ago..i was going to my friends house..i jus left my driveway..and im skating down my street and its super duper hot...so im trying to hurry to my friends cuz i dont wanna sweat and look like i jus got raped in a sewer..ne ways
I was skating...and this dog starts chasing me...i started skating faster...and my legs crossed while pushing big strides and i fell on the curb and the dog attacked me...so i kicked it in the face...it ran...im sitting on the sidewalkd...with 17 scrapes and cuts all over my body. Yes i sat there and coutned them.
After that I was sweating soo much youd think i got raped in a sewer. haha. THen i went to my friends house...and too my luck...i found out she had nooo bandages...and her airconditioner was broken...damn that day sucked.

the end.

Ha! At least you gave a boot-to-the-head to that irate canine (mad dog).

Good story! :)

Not dealing with the heat well at all. We have AC but it seems to be inoperative 50% of the time for some reason. Heck I hate it when the temperature rises above 70 degrees F. I suppose that is sort of weird though.

Blckhawk - I shot video last week of a football camp in the Oklahoma panhandle where it averaged 95+ degrees. They have a drill called "slobberknocker" and they put on boxing gloves (in addition to helmet, shoulder pads, shorts, and cleats), line up in a 3-point stance, the whistle is blown, and they really go at it hard throwing punches, pushing, wrestling with encouragement shouted from the players and coaches. It's pretty exciting to watch and some of the battles get a bit carried away. There were a few times when players had to step in and seperate some of the combatants.

What position do you play and what grade will you be in?

damn that must of been crazzy...post that video i wann see it. lol

I play on line. Right offensive tackle...left defensive end. Im going into 10th grade this year.

But ill tell ya....the weight room really does smell like ass...when your in there...squatting 405 lbs or benching 200 lbs...it gets nasty as hell. They tried airing it out once...and guess what happend? the whole bubble deflated and i was like...omg!!! it was madd funny. Good times...and im bout to leave to go back to that every awewsome smelling place in like 20 min....woopy...

I sit in the AC all day long (at home, at work, in the car). I try never to wander outside if I can help it. That'll make shooting my zombie flick tough, but I'll get it done.

You will be glad to carry the memories of your football experiences with you the rest of your life. It is tough and demanding for sure, but the memories and experiences are worth the pain.

Good luck to you and your team this year!

Thanks bro! you have given somethin for me to look foward too..cuz i was startin to lose hope in football..cuz of the demandingness of my coach.

Hey u should come to my town and document our football team....haha

Right offensive tackle...left defensive end.

Ah, a lineman eh :D. Football is great fun. I used to play (inside linebacker) until I fractured my skull. Doctors wouldn't let me play after that :(.

You should post some pics if you get a chance! Fun times - enjoy it while you can!

I had to shut my window and throw on a sweater - was kinda foggy and chilly this morning. Brrrr!

Hey blckhawk - You think getting raped in the sewer is bad - try getting molested at a priest convention!

*shudder*

Minnesota summers are the worst. So damn HUMID.

You're all amateurs! It's 115 today and we've had ten days straight with temps over 110.

And don't give me that "It's not the heat, it's the humidity.." crap. When you can fry an egg on your driveway in 5 minutes - it's FREAKIN HOT!

Not that I'm complaining. I love it here. Just staying inside in the AC.

Dude...thers not humidity in Vegas...i love Vegas weather...ill stay outside cuz its not humid. Come to the other side of the US..and youll go crazy with humidity.

I also try not to go outside at the peak of hell. We had quite a few days a couple weeks ago that were over 100. I had an ink pen and a water bottle explode in my car at work. But my daughter got the worst....she took the trash out and because it would only take a second, she went out barefooted. She could hardly walk that night because the bottoms of her feet were burned. Two days later, they peeled. *eeewwww*

Last Sunday:

I thought waiting until the temperature goes below 30 (that's Celsius = ONLY 86 F) to venture our and go for a walk would be safe. Except by now it's dark, the (somewhat) lower temperature means humidity goes through the roof, mosquitos are having a ball, and all that makes my wife very cranky.

Hot summer is not a good time for romantic walks, let me tell you. :(

I couldn't survive Florida in summer, that's for sure...
