CPU - Jeremy Hyler aka Spidey

Here the original concept picture i drew back in november. It took me a while to find it. I plan on getting more bts up by this weekend. story boards interviews etc.

spidey...

I have to say overall you did a great job.I love the way you color corrected the bar scene that was pure genius! the way you did that green halo thing was amazing, but I do have to say the rest of the movies color was a little off for my taste.
if your interested I have a movie you should check out for some ideas...try looking at "....... ...." You shoud get some really awesome directorial and color ideas from that one .I found this movie riveting and moving all at the same time.....especially the beer drop...... talk about art!

I also found the language in the movie fitting; in fact, I believe it could have used even more cussing.....then It would have felt like the real world.have you ever heard real cops speak these days? it horrible! of course it will worsen in the future so i liked the way you depicted it. thats the way I see it being... if not more!. Nice directorial decision I must say.
The way you adapted the script to the characters was also just amazing. I was literally drawn to it.... you had me at F*ck you.

The gripe I had about the dialogue though is that you didnt have enough studders and pauses between words. If you just made it stumble out a little bit more you would have been golden.

but like I said earlier the movie rocks my socks, and so does your crew.they did an amazing job, and honestly you are my favorite to win.... plus the two hotties you have in the lead roles dosnt hurt either.

good luck and god speed

Man, it's late and I don't think I can face 150+ comments before I respond here, so please forgive me if I repeat or anything.

I've just got two words, really.

Bad. Ass.

Okay, maybe I can do three.

F@!$ing bad ass.

I loved the way this looked. I loved the dialogue. I loved the acting. I loved that you gave me a POV character who I simultaneously thought was a dick and still kinda rooted for 'cause he seemed like kind of a dick because he's weak and fallible and just not a very good guy, not because he's actually malicious. I loved that you managed to make me buy totally into the world you created without beating me over the head with futuristic gadgets. I loved that this was a world and a plot I have no trouble believing will eventually happen givne the state of our society now.

The only criticisms I have, and they're minor, are these: First, while I enjoyed the story, it didn't smack of a whole new concept. I'm sure you know Blade Runner and similar, so that's no surprise. This isn't so much criticism in the sense of "this is bad", more of a "maybe this could be better if." You've got a damn fine movie here, but if I saw it in the theatre (and I'd love to) I might wonder if Ridley Scott was getting royalties. Second, the end: I appreciate the suddenness, I enjoyed it, but I think stopping outright there jarred me a little too much. I don't think I wanted more story or more dialogue, I think all I wanted was an ending credits sequence. Just to let me mentally cool down. We always have to make choices with time, of course.

So, you know, A+ work, man, I'm really impressed.

I LIKED THIS ONE, GRITTY, CHARACTER DRIVEN GREAT DIALOGUE, THE ACTORS WERE GREAT, NOW IN THE BEGINNING THE GUY TALKING HIS VOICE HAD CHANGED BECAUSE IN THE BEGINNING IT WAS MORE HMM.... WEASLEY AND RASPY WHICH I REALLY LIKED KINDA LIKE IGGY POPISH, BUT THEN IT CHANGED TO A HIGHER PITCH NORMAL.(i too had a problem with my voice) but then the other character started to shine good chemistry i like. THIS ONE WAS GOOD ALL THE WAY THRU, WELL PLANNED AND EXECUTED! GOOD CONTINUITY.

Sorry if this is a repeater - too much to read in this thread.

You're obviously quite talented - good work!

The acting made the short.

The color correcting was over-done.

I agree with one of the first comments that said the story was shallow. The story wasn't very engaging, so it was hard for my mind to keep following what was going on. It felt like you were focusing more on making the short look good than to tell an engaging story.

Makeup/costuming/sets/other visual stylings were very good.

Cinematography was awesome - this is definitely, definitely you're strong point.

Did anyone mention this looked like BLADE RUNNER??? :) Just kidding - never seen it.

You did a good job of making the short "feel" exciting, but then there wasn't much substance to back it up. Maybe you could focus more on the story next time. If you had done that, I think you would've had this one nailed.

Good job -

lol thanks glad you enjoyed it I actually didnt see Blade Runner till last year, so thanks for the complement. Glad you enjoy it and yes ridey scott is awesome!

lol thanks kimko! I loved your performance as well, thank you for watching!

I liked the distortion in the faces and the make-up. Despite what I thought was rather gross, I did think it was rather good. I was so wrapped up in watching it I almost thought I was watching a series.
