Right Jim. A gain that you were looking to accomplish is much more worth the risk than the small gain I could get.
However this just occurred to me...
Since I do have 2 identical C: (system) drives,
if I pulled the internet from my computer, did the CPU upgrade and then discovered upon booting that it was a mistake when things don't work....
why can't I just put back in the old CPU, put back in the other C: (system) drive and everything is back as if nothing happened? As long as I had no internet during that time my licenses wouldn't be permanently broken because everything should be fine on the backup drive
?
