someone ever encounter this problem?
I often use the pre-rec mode on my other camcorders...I find it very useful.
But on my C100, when in pre-rec mode, the Custom Picture button doesn't work...very strange.
I just had to dig the camera out and try it right now.
"By George!" (imaginary monocle drops off face) "He's right!"
One of those little 'oopsies' in the camera's software, no doubt. Thanks for sharing this - we can shrug our shoulders, keep calm and carry on. 'Yes guvnor, they all do that', no it's not a sign of impending doom, and will probably be fixed in whatever revision follows 2014Q1's AF thing.
But perhaps we should collar our various Canon contacts and let them know.
Thanks for the response Matt...quite entertaining! But I'm glad I found this before going in the field. It took me 30 min and I was in my linving room. Oh well, for those of you who want to use the pre-rec mode, first set-up your ''custom picture'' and then enable ''pre-rec''.
This shouldn't really be surprising, I would think. You can't change your CP in the middle of recording, and you're essentially constantly recording with pre-rec on. The processor is applying your selected gamma and color profile to the data as it's coming off the sensor and it's contiunuously writing the information onto media, whether you're "rolling" or not.
