MUSIC VIDEO: Cover of Rihanna 'What Now' - Trying to get better on my video editing skills

Nice band. There's definitely some talent there. I think the editing is good, but not great. The cinematography is the first thing that could be improved here though. Many of the shots were a little out of focus. The camera was too shaky (put it on a tri-pod or a glidecam or something of that nature) and the shots were very bland. The shots being bland really have to do with the lighting. The lighting looked like it was just the lighting that was already in the room, which makes it plain and not dynamic. If you want to pull people in and engage them even more, work on these things and that'll be a huge step. Then with the editing, I think in order to make it great you could just make it a bit more flashy than it is. I would say a few cool transitions and a few quick flashes that go along with the drum beat. Something else to think about with this video that I think could've also made it stand out would've been a storyline to go along with the shots of the band. Like the video would be part story and part performance. Anyway, just my 2 cents. Keep at it. The more you do it, the more you learn and the more you learn the better you get.
