Could this be legit? - Canon asks to see defective footage

Legit, or not, who cares. An opportunity is an opportunity. Just get some footage put together and get it sent over. Those Germans are really smart! Maybe their division can figure something out.

If I had my camera already, I would. I second the motion to get Barry's charts sent over. That's the BEST proof they could ask for.

Very cool that they're interested in seeing problems with the footage. I'm curious if it means they are considering another firmware update to try and fix some of the problems or if it's just research for the next models.

My God, Barry. Send your stuff over there with a link to the trumpet thread. We can have this all wrapped up and fixed by the end of next month with Canon offering a true Red One equivalent for $1,700.

It seems like lately Canon is taking requests. You want manual controls? umm okay, we can do that. Say what? You want 24P in the 5DII? well... okay.

Want those artifacts that show up on those pesky trumpet charts to go away. Whatever, just send some samples so we know what the hell you're taking about .... and we'll get back to you.
